Over 33,000 people say they signed up for a Steam Frame, less than half have one reserved

Valve has completed a randomized drawing to assign initial reservations for its new Steam Frame device, leaving more than half of the registered buyers on a waitlist.

According to a community-organized tracking website, only about 45% of participants succeeded in securing a reservation during the lottery, while the remainder were waitlisted or are still awaiting notification. Unclaimed reservations will be offered to those on the waitlist in sequential order.

Data compiled from the community tracker reveals that the lower-capacity 256 GB version is substantially more popular than the high-end 1 TB model across different regions. This preference is likely influenced by the device's support for storage expansion via microSD cards, which allows buyers to save money on internal storage while still accommodating large game libraries.
