Women's health startup Evvy has successfully secured $40 million in a Series B funding round spearheaded by Catalio Capital Management.

Founded in 2021, the biotechnology company provides at-home testing services designed to analyze the vaginal microbiome using advanced molecular sequencing technology. Users mail in self-collected swabs, which are subsequently processed in certified laboratories to provide personalized clinical insights, diagnostic interpretations, and treatment pathways. Currently, the platform supports over 100,000 patients across the United States and collaborates with thousands of healthcare practitioners, contributing to numerous peer-reviewed research papers and the discovery of previously undocumented microbial genomes.

Beyond providing individual diagnostic services, the company's broader objective is to address historical gaps in medical research regarding female biology. By gathering high-quality, representative biological data at scale, the enterprise hopes to construct comprehensive datasets that can power sophisticated artificial intelligence tools, such as its recently introduced digital health assistant. Evvy is also expanding its clinical focus to explore connections between the vaginal microbiome and various fertility issues, including IVF success rates, pregnancy complications, and unexplained infertility.
