Smart illumination brand Govee has announced an extensive new roster of decorative and residential lighting products scheduled for release throughout September and October.

Showcased at the IFA 2024 trade show, these upcoming offerings stand out for their universal compatibility with the Matter smart home standard, which ensures seamless integration across various major smart home ecosystems. The new product line features a heavy emphasis on outdoor-ready festive decor, showcasing second-generation curtain lights with enhanced customization capabilities, upgraded multicolor Christmas string lights, and the company's inaugural set of icicle-style hanging lights designed to endure wet weather conditions.\n\nBeyond seasonal holiday decorations, Govee is also introducing several year-round ambient lighting solutions and home entertainment peripherals. The announcement details two advanced versions of its flexible LED strip lights, including a model utilizing chip-on-board technology designed to diffuse light evenly and eliminate visible hot spots. Additionally, the company plans to launch a starlight projector with integrated white noise features and an updated television backlighting synchronization box. This upgraded entertainment hub implements high-bandwidth HDMI 2.1 passthrough, allowing it to generate real-time reactive lighting effects while supporting modern gaming consoles and displays at resolutions up to 8K.
