Govee doubles up on its permanent outdoor lighting.

Smart home lighting manufacturer Govee has unveiled its latest illumination hardware, spotlighting advancements in both its exterior and interior product portfolios.

The primary introduction is the Permanent Outdoor Lights 2 Pro, which features a novel dual-layer architecture. This engineering choice permits the lighting system's upper and lower segments to independently showcase differing colors and visual effects at the exact same time. Designed for permanent installation on residential exteriors, the system aims to provide homeowners with more sophisticated and dynamic ways to illuminate their properties. The product is scheduled for a retail launch in early September, carrying a premium price tag for its standard hundred-foot configuration.

Alongside the outdoor fixtures, the company is also rolling out an updated iteration of its COB Strip Light Pro. This flexible strip light employs chip-on-board design principles, which are specifically engineered to eliminate the pixelated or patchy appearance common in standard light-emitting diode strips. By packing the LEDs closer together than in the prior generation, the new model achieves a much smoother, more uninterrupted stream of light. This interior-focused product is also priced for consumer release alongside the outdoor lineup, representing Govee's ongoing efforts to refine its high-density smart lighting technologies for everyday consumers.
