JMGO’s very bright all-in-one projector looks ideal for gamers and sports

JMGO has launched its latest high-end entertainment projector, the Iris Ultra Max, for consumers outside of China.

This hardware unit features advanced 4K resolution and integrated Google TV functionality, making it highly suitable for home theater setups. A primary feature of this model is its proprietary dual-iris contrast control system, which seeks to solve the traditional contrast issues that frequently plague home projectors. By positioning two separate physical apertures along the internal optical path, the projector manages to aggressively control light scatter. This mechanism, combined with a robust triple-laser light engine, allows the device to output an incredibly bright image, setting a high benchmark for all-in-one projection units.

In addition to its raw brightness, the device is tailored for fast-motion content like sports and gaming by supporting a high refresh rate alongside variable refresh rate options and auto low latency mode to prevent visual screen tearing. For physical placement flexibility, the projector is mounted on a motorized pan-and-tilt gimbal and features optical zoom and lens shift capabilities that preserve native image quality without digital degradation. Although the on-paper specifications are impressive, early adopters may want to exercise caution and wait for official reviews, as previous hardware iterations from the company exhibited noticeable color distortion when pushed to peak brightness levels. The premium unit is slated to begin shipping to customers in mid-October, with promotional pricing offered for initial preorders.
