In tandem with the feed filtering option, Bluesky is testing a beta feature that automatically appends sequential numbers to posts within extended discussion threads. This automated numbering system is designed to give readers a clearer indication of a thread's total volume and reading time, while also sparing creators from having to manually number their consecutive updates. Users who wish to try this experimental functionality can easily enable it through the platform's primary configuration menu, bringing the app's interface closer to capabilities already offered by competing platforms like Meta's Threads.
