Hideo Kojima's Physint Casts Bill Skarsgard As Its Lead

Actor Bill Skarsgard has been selected to portray the primary character in Physint, an upcoming action-espionage video game from Kojima Productions.

Skarsgard, recognized for his performances in major cinematic releases, joins a growing cast of international talent that already includes Charlee Fraser, Don Lee, and Minami Hamabe. The game's creator, Hideo Kojima, has described the project as a boundary-pushing endeavor designed to merge interactive gameplay with theatrical filmmaking, creating an experience that defies traditional genre definitions.

The production represents a major shift in publishing partnerships, as the title is now being developed in collaboration with Xbox after PlayStation Studios officially withdrew from the project earlier this year. Following PlayStation's exit, the independent development studio spent several months seeking a new partner before securing an agreement with Microsoft's gaming arm. This contract expands an ongoing alliance between the two entities, which are already working together on an experimental horror title called OD. Beyond interactive software, the renewed partnership also includes plans to co-create film and television adaptations, though Physint itself does not yet have an official release date and is scheduled to launch after OD.
